Trip to Guisborough woods

Middlesborough - Roseberry Topping to Guisborough Woods
North East
Time: 7 hrs
Distance: 19 Miles Give or take with inclines
Level: Suitable for novices
Rating: 8






Well we set of from Middlesbrough at around 12:00 and reached Rose Berry topping for around 1:30. It was quite a dull day with slight showers so the ground was quite muddy :D

It was a grueling trek up and over Rose Berry Topping from the back end of Rose berry we traveled across to the read of Guisbrough woods.

The woods for me were awesome, allot of steep inclines to travel up but they were worth the trek to reach the top areas. Also Guisborough woods has many fast descents around the woods these are mostly dirt roads, although their are many technical trails to abuse :)

Here is Mike enjoying a chip butty splash well deserved if you ask me all we had for breakfast

was a pack of walkers, Energy Drink, and fat burning pills :)

Next week hopefully we are off to have a trek around Guisborough woods. We will be starting out in Middlesbrough and rideing to Roseberry Topping, and then across to Guisborough woods to have a go at the trails.

We would be going this week but Mike the whore! has his bike in bits atm and is waiting for parts to come.

If there are any peaple around Middlesbrough or the North East that would like to joint us feel free and send use a text message, from this point well tell you were to meet up with us.

If you decide to come bring plenty of nurisments and a few few tools e.g Inner tube, alen keys etc..

Here's a few images from 2 trips out last year. We usually set off from Middlesbrough up through Eston Hills, and across Guisborough road to reach the bottom of Roaseberry topping.

Up and over we go heading towards captain cook monument and all the way back, so times stopping off at the old quarry at the bottom of Roseberry were there are some cool man made jumps to Abuse :D

Guisborough Woods

An attractive and diverse woodland mostly planted in the 1950's on the site of disused extensive mine workings. Rocky outcrops at High cliff Nab and Hanging Stone provide views over Teesside and the Eston Hills.

Guisborough Woods is a excellent place to mountain bike, the Woods have lots of complex trails to offer to the hardcore mountain bikers out there.
